[The Quintet NC] Brisk Walk at Stamford Canal & Fort Canning Park.

Time: 7:30 am to 12:00 pm
Venue: Stamford Canal & Fort Canning Park
Meet-Up Point: Entrance of The Quintet Condominium, Choa Chu Kang Street 64.
Two-way bus transport provided.

Participants are requested to bring their own drinking water, sun and rain gear. Members of Yew Tee Brisk Walking Clubs (BWC) are requested to wear BWC shirts if available.

Description:
We will have this urban heritage walk to trace the path of Stamford Canal, the now hidden rivulet that used to feed the orchards and washing grounds that gave Orchard Road and Dhoby Ghaut their names.

We will then climb up Fort Canning Hill that was once exclusive to royalty and subsequent the colonial Government Hill, rich with relics. We will learn about its history at its Heritage Gallery.

We end our walk at the foot of the hill for free & easy time. We can visit SCDF Heritage Gallery at Central Fire Station or have brunch at Funan mall (own expenses).
