Fiesta Format and Match Rules
Type of Categories
- Men Doubles: 16-teams Pickleball Single Elimination
- Women Doubles: 8-teams Pickleball Single Elimination
- Mixed Doubles: 8-teams Pickleball Single Elimination
- Each match consists of one game to 15 points using rally scoring.
- No deuce – the first team to reach 15 points wins the match.
- Before the match, both teams play Rock, Paper, Scissors.
- The winner of Rock, Paper, Scissors chooses either:
- To serve first, or
- To choose their starting side.
- The opposing team receives the remaining choice.
- Teams change ends when either team reaches 8 points.
- All Match Rules apply.
- The Final is played as a Best of 3 games.
- The first team to win 2 games wins the match.
2. Eligibility and Registration
2.1 Each participant is allowed to participate in a max of 2 categories only.
2.2 Each team will need to consist of at least 1 Tampines Resident
2.3 All payments to be completed on the PA portal
2.4 Maximum entries shall be capped at two (2). Should there be overwhelming responses, the Organising Committee reserves the right to make any decision deemed necessary for the entries.
2.5 Registration fee is $40 per team
2.6 Late entries will not be entertained. Incomplete submissions at the closing date for registration shall be rejected.
2.7 Changes to participant details will not be entertained after the closing date for registration.
2.8 Closing date for registration is on Friday, 24 July 2026 2359hrs.
3. Event Venue
The matches will be held at TSA Singapore Expo on 15 August 2026, Saturday from 2pm to 6pm.
4. Format
4.1 Competition will be in a round robin format in the preliminary rounds and knock-out format thereafter.
4.2 All of the above is subject to changes before the technical meeting with the team captains.
5. Walkover
Any team who fails to report to the specified court, the match will be declared a walkover after a 5-minute grace period and the match will be awarded to the opponent.
6. Retirement
Any team who decides to retire due to injury will have their match awarded to the opponent.
7. Withdrawal
Any team who withdraws from competition at any point will be removed from the competition.
8. Disqualification
8.1 Teams will be disqualified in the event of unruly conduct or cheating.
8.2 The Organising Committee reserves the right to disqualify any team at its discretion.
8.3 Disqualification will result in conceding a walkover.
9. Equipment and Attire
9.1 Balls will be provided by the organiser.
9.2 All players must be appropriately attired for the matches with proper attire and shoes for pickleball courts.
10. Reporting
10.1 Teams are advised to register their attendance at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled start time to commence registration.
10.2 All participants must bring along and present their valid identity card or pass with their residential address for verification.
11. Registration
11.1 Each team member is to register themselves on the day itself.
11.2 Late entries will not be entertained.
12. Awards
12.1 Medals and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 positions.
12.2 All prizes are non exchangeable for Cash value
12.4 In the event that one third of the team is unable to participate, the opportunity will be given to the 2nd runner-up.
13. Competition Jurisdiction
13.1 The Organising Committee reserves the right to interpret or amend the rules and regulations of the competition at any time.
13.2 While reasonable precautions will be taken, the Organising Committee, its servants and agents will not be responsible or in any way liable for any death, disability, personal injury, loss of property or any other loss howsoever arising from any cause whatsoever at any time during the course of this competition.
