Light Up Jurong Lake – Night Dragon Boat Paddling Experience

PAssion Wave @ Jurong Lake Gardens (PWJLG), in collaboration with the National Parks Board (NParks), will introduce the Night Dragon Boat Paddling Experience on 26 September 2026 as part of Lights by the Lake, NParks' annual Mid-Autumn Festival celebration at Jurong Lake Gardens.

Discover Jurong Lake Gardens after dark through a unique guided Night Dragon Boat Experience. Beginning with the Sunset Paddle at 6:00 PM, participants will paddle through the scenic waterways of Jurong Lake Gardens and journey into the Chinese Garden, witnessing the landscape transform from the warm hues of sunset into a beautifully illuminated night-time setting. As the evening unfolds, participants will enjoy a unique perspective of the festival from the water while taking in the stunning light displays and tranquil surroundings.

The Night Dragon Boat Paddling Experience offers participants an opportunity to discover Jurong Lake Gardens from a different perspective. Throughout the one-hour journey, participants will be introduced to the history, cultural heritage, natural environment and wildlife of Jurong Lake Gardens through interpretive sharing by an NParks Guide, complementing the paddling experience with engaging insights into the gardens and their waterways.

This is the first time a Night Dragon Boat programme has been introduced as part of Lights by the Lake, reflecting PWJLG's continued commitment to developing innovative and meaningful water-based recreational experiences for the community. Building on the longstanding partnership between PWJLG and NParks, which has seen successful collaborations since 2022, the programme aims to encourage participants to appreciate Jurong Lake Gardens through both its rich heritage and its unique waterways.

Each one-hour session will be led by a qualified Dragon Boat Instructor to ensure a safe and enjoyable paddling experience.

The programme is open to participants aged 12 to 70 years old. For their safety and comfort, participants are required to wear comfortable sports attire and covered shoes (slippers, sandals and other open-toed footwear are not permitted).

Please note that all participants are required to report 10 minutes before their booked time slot to allow for a smooth check-in process.

All participants must complete the GetActive Questionnaire (GAQ) and wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) before entering the pontoon and participating in the activity.

The programme will be conducted over four one-hour sessions:

🌅 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Sunset Paddle
🌙 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
🌙 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM
🌙 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Final Session

The participation fee is S$15 per person.
