Junk Journal with Us aims to bring together youths who are interested in creative journaling, scrapbooking and crafting. Participants will have the opportunity to work on their own journals using provided materials such as washi tapes and stickers and as well “junk” they bring from home, including CLEAN wrappers, magazine/newspaper cut outs, receipts, business cards etc. The session encourages self-expression, creativity, and the repurposing of everyday materials through sustainable crafting practices.

Compulsory items to bring:

• Journal, any notebook works

• “Junk” (e.g. receipts, price tags, business cards, paper wrappers/packaging, magazine cutouts, pamphlets etc) — start collecting your “junk” today

• Basic writing materials (pens or pencils)

Optional items to bring: 

• Scissors

• Glue

• Stickers 

• Tape (scotch tape or washi tapes)

• Coloured pens/markers/highlighters 

If you don’t own any of the optional items, they’ll be provided by us at the workshop! 

Feel free to also bring along anything you think you might need!
