Inside Out 2 follows Riley, now 13, as her mind is thrown into chaos when a wave of new emotions — Anxiety, Ennui, Embarrassment, and Envy — arrive with puberty. Anxiety seizes control, pushing Riley to reinvent herself at the cost of her true identity, eventually spiralling into a panic attack. It takes Joy's realisation that a whole, healthy self is built from all emotions — not just the happy ones — to restore balance.
