Cars 3 follows Lightning McQueen as he struggles to stay relevant after a new wave of high-tech rookie racers, led by Jackson Storm, threatens to push him into retirement. After a serious crash, he trains with Cruz Ramirez to make a comeback — only to discover that she has her own dream of racing. In a touching finale, McQueen steps aside to let Cruz race in his place, finding a new calling as a mentor rather than a competitor.
