Marymount CSN Sailing By The Bay
Date/Day - 31 October 2026, Saturday
Meeting Time - 2:15pm
Meeting Location - Bishan Active Park
2 way transport provided
Meeting point at Bishan Active - Basketball court, 2:15pm sharp
No reminder calls will be made on that day
Programme as follows:
Safety brief (5mins)
Issuance of Personal Floatation Devices, Board powerboat for sea transfer to the SM40 sailboat out on Marina Bay (5mins)
Onboard safety brief by the skipper, Introduction to the SM40 sailboat, Hands-on basics on how to sail: Know where the wind is coming from, Filling the sails with wind to propel the boat, Steering the boat, Sailing upwind (30mins)
Transfer back to shore by powerboat (5mins)
End of programme
Things to bring:
Sunblock
Hat
Long-sleeve T-shirt
Sunglasses
Large bottle of water
Raincoat (If there is no Cat 1 lightning warning on the NEA app, sailing continues)
Covered non-slip shoes
Waterproof casing for mobile phones and other devices
Things to note:
Minimum age: 7 years old (on the day of sailing)
Maximum age: 70 years old (on the day of sailing)
Personal Floatation Devices are provided
All sailing activities will stop in the event of a lightning warning provided by the Meteorological Service Singapore: https://www.weather.gov.sg/lightning/lightning/lightningalertinformationsystem.jsp
There are no storage facilities at the pontoon. Please do not bring large bags. The admin staff from SSF will not be able to look after your personal items while discharging their duties cannot be held responsible for any loss of items.
