Snowskin mooncakes are a no-bake, chilled treat made with a soft, mochi-like dough of cooked glutinous rice flour, icing sugar, shortening, and milk. The dough is wrapped around a filling — such as lotus paste, durian, or salted egg custard — then pressed into a decorative mould to create an intricate pattern on the surface. Served cold, they offer a lighter, more delicate alternative to traditional baked mooncakes and are a popular favourite during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
