Participation Rules & Regulations

1. Eligibility

• Open to residents from the surrounding neighbourhood or local community.

• Each band must consist of 3 to 6 members only.

2. Music, Performance & Code of Conduct

• Each band is required to perform two (2) songs.

• Performances may consist of cover songs or original compositions.

• Each band must perform two (2) Malay songs.

• All songs performed must be suitable for a general audience and must not contain:

  • Obscene or explicit content

  • Violent content

  • Incitement or provocative messages

  • Religious or racial sensitivities

  • Spitting during the performance

• The use of offensive language or inappropriate behaviour is strictly prohibited.

• Political slogans or messages are not permitted throughout the event.

• Participants are strictly prohibited from consuming alcoholic beverages or any intoxicating substances before or during their performance.

3. Performance Duration

• The total performance time, including stage setup, must not exceed 15 minutes.

4. Musical Equipment

• The organiser will provide the PA sound system and microphones.

• Participants are encouraged to bring their own musical instruments, such as guitars, keyboards, drumsticks and other personal equipment.

5. Judging Criteria

Performances will be evaluated by the panel of judges based on the following:

• Musical and vocal quality

• Creativity and stage presentation

• Teamwork and coordination among band members

• Audience interaction and engagement

6. Registration & Participation Fee

• The participation fee is S$50 per band.

• Closing date for registration: 15 September 2026.

7. General Terms & Conditions

• The judges' decision is final and no appeals will be entertained.

• The organiser reserves the right to:

  • Record performances.

  • Use photographs and videos for documentation and promotional purposes.

• Each participant may represent only one band throughout the competition.

• No band is allowed to perform on behalf of another band. Any band found to have breached this rule will be disqualified from the competition.
