Compassvale Plains RN - Deepavali Culinary Competition

🎟️ Competition Entry Fee: $5 per pax
Each participant may bring a maximum of two supporters to the competition.

🍛 The Challenge

Put your culinary skills to the test and showcase the flavours of Indian cuisine!

Each participant will be required to prepare a 3-pax menu from scratch, consisting of:

• 1 Main Dish
• 1 Dessert – Hot or Cold
• 1-Minute Presentation explaining the concept and inspiration behind the dishes

🏆 Prizes to Be Won!

🥇 1st Prize: $100 worth
🥈 2nd Prize: $70 worth
🥉 3rd Prize: $50 worth

📋 Important Competition Rules

• All dishes must be Indian cuisine.
• Each participant must prepare one main dish and one dessert (hot or cold).
• All dishes must be prepared and cooked onsite. Marinating and seasoning may be done in advance.
• Rice-based main dishes are not allowed.
• Participants must bring their own ingredients, seasonings and cooking essentials.
• Participants should bring any special cooking equipment required. All electrical cooking equipment must be suitable for use at the Culinary Studio.
• Pork and lard are strictly prohibited.
• Participants are encouraged to wear traditional Indian attire to celebrate and showcase Indian culture.
• Traditional attire will form part of the judging criteria.
