It's time to settle it on the court! The Cheng San Badminton Tournament 2026 is coming in hot on 26 September 2026 and we're calling all ballers to step up and show us what you've got! 💪🏆

Registration Fee: $40 per team — that's a small price to pay for glory! 🥇
Eligibility:
- Priority given to Cheng San residents
- One playing player per team must be an Ang Mo Kio resident
- One playing player per team must be Singaporeans or Permanent Residents for both categories

Event FAQ
1. RULES
1.1 According to the Laws/Rules established by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and as directed by the Singapore Badminton Association (SBA) (www.bwfbadminton.org & www.singaporebadminton.org.sg) and,

- Each team must comprise at least 1 player residing in Cheng San/Ang Mo Kio GRC.
- Each team must comprise at least 1 player who is a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Priority will be given to Cheng San residents.
3. EVENTS & FORMAT OF PLAY
3.1 The list of events shall be as follows:

3.2 Team Registration & Format
A team must register the following minimum number of players:

| Mixed Doubles Open | 2 | Each team must comprise 1 player residing in Cheng San/Ang Mo Kio GRC and 1 player who is a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident. |
3.3 All rounds, from the preliminary stage through to the Finals, will be played on a knock-out basis. Each match will consist of a single set based on a 30-point scoring system. There will be no round robin stage.
3.4 The format is subject to change based on final entries, at the discretion of the organisers.
4. REGISTRATION
4.1 Registration closes on 31 August 2026. Priority will be given to Cheng San residents.
4.2 Should there be any change of players due to injury, please notify us via email by 13 September 2026. Any requests received after this date will not be entertained.
4.3 Fixtures will be shared with the respective team managers via email by 23 September 2026 at 7.00pm.
5. FINALS & 3RD / 4TH PLAYOFF
The winners of the Semi-Finals will advance to the Finals to compete for 1st and 2nd place. The runners-up of the Semi-Finals will compete for 3rd and 4th place.
6. WALKOVER
Any player or pair who fails to report to the umpire at the designated court will be declared a walkover after a 5-minute grace period (time commences once the umpire is on court). All points will be awarded to the opponent.
7. RETIREMENT
Any player or pair who retires due to injury will retain their points at the time of retirement, with all remaining points conceded to their opponents. For example, should a match be retired at 5-3 (5 being the score of the retiring entry), the final score will be recorded as 5-30.
8. WITHDRAWAL
Any player or pair who withdraws from the competition at any point will be removed, and all scores shall be deemed null and void. Please note that all registrations are non-refundable.
9. DISQUALIFICATION
9.1 Player(s) will be disqualified in the event of unruly conduct or cheating.
