Rules and Regulations
Fourth Braddell Heights CSN Xiangqi Blitz Tournament 2026
  1. Organiser: Braddell Heights Community Sports Network (Braddell Heights Xiangqi Club)
  2. Date and Time: 28 Nov 2026(Sat), 9 am to 6 pm
  3. Venue: Multi-purpose Hall of Marine Parade-Braddell Heights Town Council (Serangoon Office), Level 5
  4. Address of Venue: Block 266 Serangoon Central Drive, Singapore 550266
  5. Category: Open
  6. Format of Play: Swiss System, 9 rounds, 15 min with no time increment
  7. Restriction: No age limit or rank restriction 
  8. Eligibility: This competition is open to all Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, Work Permit Holders, Students holding student passes. 
  9. Registration Details:
  1. Participants are required to click the link, fill up the electronic form and submit it to complete the registration.
  2. No refund for any withdrawals.
  3. Due to limited resources, registration of participants is capped at 60 pax.  The registration is automatically closed once the 60th participant is registered.
  4. Closing date for registration: 12 Nov 2026, 6 pm.  Registration is based on first-come-first-serve basis.  Late registrations will not be entertained.
  5. Standard rates of registration fee: Twenty Singapore Dollars(S$20).
10.        Reporting: All participants must report at the tournament venue punctually.
11.        Food provided: Buffet lunch is provided.  A Bento set is provided to each vegetarian participant.
12. Rules and Regulations:
(a) Participants who turn up late for 5 minutes or more forfeit their matches.        
(b) Any participant who is absent for two(2) matches is deemed to have withdrawn from the competition.
(c) Accumulation of two(2) technical fouls in a game results in a loss. 
(d) The participant who uses up his allocated time is considered to have lost his match.
(e) Participants are not allowed to initiate verbal communication with their opponents except for draw requests.
(f) Asian Xiangqi rules will be used for this competition. 
(g) Once a match is finished, both participants are required to place their own chess pieces back to the original chess positions.  The winner must report the scoring result to the Chief Arbiter.  Failure to do so results in scoring 0 point for both participants.  In the event of a draw, the participant who plays Red will report score.
(h) Participants are not allowed to leave their seats to observe the games of the other participants during their games.  
(i) Any participant who wishes to propose a draw must first place their request with their opponent politely.  If a draw result is agreed between both players, the player who plays Red will report score.  Any disputes regarding a draw proposal can be brought up to the Chief Arbiter.  
(j) In each round, 1 point is awarded for a win, 0.5 point for a draw and 0 point for a loss.
(k) No usage of mobile phones and other electronic devices are allowed during the competition.  Any participant who is caught using any electronic devices while gaming is deemed to have lost and will be disqualified from the tournament.  Any participant who is caught for cheating will be asked to leave the gaming arena immediately.      
(l) The participants must place their mobile phones on the gaming table while gaming.  The mobile phone must remain on the table until the game ends.  A technical foul is committed if either party’s handphone sounds off or vibrates.  A direct loss will be given to the participant should he pick up the phone call.
(m) No recording of Xiangqi moves is required.
(n) In the event of any dispute during gaming, the Chief Arbiter’s decision is final.
(o) Participants must be properly attired and well-behaved for the competition.  No sloppy attires such as slippers, singlets, shorts etc. are allowed.  Any participant who fails to comply to the dress code is not allowed to participate in the chess tournament.  Student participants are encouraged to wear their school uniforms for this event. 
(p) No eating, smoking or commotion is allowed at the gaming premises. Participants are expected to always behave in a socially responsible manner.   
(q) Participants are not allowed to take photographs or do videography at the gaming premises.
(r) The Organiser has the right to change the timing of each round as it deems fit.
(s) Participants who have finished their games must stand at a reasonable distance away from the gaming players when spectating.  They must not produce any sound or gesture which may interrupt the game.    
13. Prize Awards:
To encourage the participation of senior citizens, youths and female participants, a prize is awarded to the best performer in each category.  Persons aged 60 and above from 1 Jan 2026 are considered as seniors. Participants aged 18 and below from 1 Jan 2026 will be considered as youth participants.
The breakdown of prize awards is as follows:
Champion: Mystery Prize 1 + Trophy
Runner-up: Mystery Prize 2 + Medal
First Runner-up: Mystery Prize 3 + Medal
4th Placing: Medal
5th Placing: Medal
6th Placing: Medal
7th Placing: Medal
8th Placing: Medal
Best Senior Citizen Performer Award: Small Gift + Medal
Best Female Performer Award: Small Gift + Medal
Best Youth Performer Award(Under 18): Small Gift + Medal
Prize award winners in the Senior Citizen/Female/Youth(Under 18) categories are ineligible to win more than 1 prize award.
14. By consenting to participate in this competition, participants agree to abide and obey all the rules and regulations set out by Braddell Heights Xiangqi Club.
15. Braddell Heights Community Sports Network reserves the rights to decide on the winning participants based on the scores generated by the Swiss Manager software used in the tournament.
16. Braddell Heights Community Sports Network reserves all rights to amend, remove, modify and change any part of the competition, rules and regulations without any prior and/or further notice.
17. Any breach of the rules and regulations will be severely dealt with by the Tournament Director as advised by the Chief Arbiter.
18. A certificate of participation will be awarded to every youth(Under 18) participant.
19. All participants are encouraged to stay back for the prize-giving ceremony to show support for the tournament.
20. While reasonable precautions will be taken, the Organiser and their officials will not responsible or in any way liable for any death, disability, personal injury, loss of property or any other loss, etc. howsoever arising from any cause whatsoever at any time during this tournament.
21. An official tournament WhatsApp chat group will be created to disseminate gaming information for this tournament.

  7. 限制: 不分年龄与棋力等级
  8. 参赛资格: 新加坡公民、 新加坡永久居民、 持就业工作准证或学生证, 皆可参加
  9. 报名方式:
  1. 参赛者可以通过主办当局的链接, 填写电子表格后即可寄交。
  2. 参赛者必须全额支付注册费。任何撤销注册均不予退款。
  3. 由于本棋会资源有限, 本次比赛参加人数最多60。当报名系统接受第60名参赛者报名后, 系统将停止接受报名。
  4. 截止日期: 2025年11月12日, 傍晚6时正。注册是基于先到先得的原则。逾期报名, 恕不受理。
  5. 报名费: 新币20元
  1. 报到: 参赛者必须准时报到。
  2. 食物供应: 主办方会供应自助餐。素食者可各领一个便当。
  3. 比赛规则:
  1. 迟到5分钟的参赛者作弃权论。
  2. 如果参赛者缺席或迟到两次, 当作退赛。
  3. 如果参赛者被记两次技术犯规, 判负一局。
  4. 用尽局时的参赛者判负。
  5. 参赛者的交谈只限于向对手商讨和棋, 不容许闲聊。
  6. 这个比赛采用亚洲规则。
  1. 下完每一局后, 双方必须把棋子还原到未开赛时的位置。胜方需要向裁判长报告成绩。如果双方没有报告成绩, 战绩做废, 双方得零分。如果双方打和, 红方报告成绩。
  2. 比赛时, 参赛者不可以离桌去旁观其他对手的棋局。
  3. 想提和的一方可以先恭敬地问对手是否愿意接受提和的建议。如果双方同意和棋收场, 红方向裁判长报告成绩。如果双方无法达成协议, 想和棋的一方可以向裁判长示意来做判决。
  4. 每一轮,胜方获得一分, 负方零分,和棋半分。
  5. 比赛严禁手机或其它高科技的电子产品的使用。如果参赛者被证实携带手机或任何电子产品辅助比赛,比赛资格将立即被取消。触犯者必须立即离开比赛场地。
  6. 比赛时, 参赛者必须把手机放在棋桌上。比赛结束后, 参赛者才能从桌上带走手机。任何一方的手机响或发出震动, 当作技术法规一次。如果棋手接听电话, 该名棋手直接判负。
  7. 这个比赛无需记录棋局。
  8. 裁判长授权处理任何争议性的事件。 他的判决是最终的, 不得有异议。
  9. 参赛者必须穿着体面入场, 言行举止适宜。穿拖鞋、背心、短裤等的参赛者是不能参加比赛。触犯此条规的参赛者将失去参赛资格。吁请学生身穿校服出席这个比赛。
  10. 比赛场所严禁饮食、吸烟与喧哗。
  11. 参赛者不可以在比赛场所拍照或录影。
  12. 比赛的时间表会依据当场的实际情况而进行。
  13. 下完棋局的参赛者如果想旁观, 他们必须与比赛棋手保持适当的距离, 不允许发出任何声响或动作去干扰他们。
 
  1. 奖品: 为了鼓励青少年、女子、 乐龄棋手参加比赛,主办方特地准备一份优异奖和奖牌给各组的最佳参赛者。乐龄参赛者定为六十岁以上(从2025年1月1日算起)。青少年参赛者定为十八岁以下(从2025年 1月1日算起)。
得奖者可获得以下的奖品:
冠军: 神秘奖 1 加奖杯一座
亚军: 神秘奖 2加奖牌一枚
季军: 神秘奖 3加奖牌一枚
殿军: 奖牌一枚
第五名: 奖牌一枚
第六名: 奖牌一枚
第七名: 奖牌一枚
八名: 奖牌一枚

最佳乐龄奖: 小礼品加奖牌一枚
最佳女子奖: 小礼品加奖牌一枚
最佳青年奖: 小礼品加奖牌一枚

最佳乐龄、女子和青年参赛者只能获得一个奖项。
 
  1. 参加这个比赛代表自己本人同意遵守主办当局所有的条规。
  2. 主办当局有权依照瑞士配对系统的总成绩颁奖给优胜者。
  3. 主办当局有权无需通知任何人的情况下纠正、 删除、 修改任何比赛的条规。
  4. 通过裁判长的建议,赛事总监将会严惩触犯象棋比赛规则的参赛者。
  5. 主办当局会颁发参赛证书给每个学生参赛者。
  6. 主办当局吁请每位参赛者留到颁奖礼, 表示支持。
  7. 虽然主办当局将采取合理的预防措施,但它不会承担任何责任,包括因任何原因引起的死亡、残疾、人身伤害、财物损失等。
  8. 主办单局会设立一个官方WhatsApp群主群来传播关于比赛的重要讯息。
