Course Description

Yoga Therapy uses specific body movements, proper breathing and mental focus to enhance wellness. It helps by alleviating sufferings, boosting morale or raising the threshold of pain and endurance. Essentially, Yoga Therapy is the application of yoga practices to alleviate physical and mental health with the view of promoting self-care and encouraging overall well-being. A typical 1 hour class starts with fundamental movements like breathing and gentle stretching exercise to warm up the body. Followed by 40 minutes of specific yoga postures for the specific class theme, e,g shoulder, back, etc.

Requirements and Remarks:

8 sessions Min 10 to start Participants are required to bring their own Yoga mat & props for this class and use these props after they learn the technique of applying them as part of their self-care regime: • 2x Yoga Rings (L23.8 x B12.5 x H7.9 cm) that fits the body's curvature to help with deep tissue release and support during practice • 1x 3mtr yoga belt/strap Note that props are essential to enhance your practice and prevent injuries and should not be shared for hygiene reasons. If unsure, ask your trainer during your lesson.
