A former athlete with the Singapore National Wushu Federation (SNWF) and the Singapore National Youth team, Chng Chit Kiong has been practicing Wushu since age 13. He has participated in and won various Wushu competitions such as the SEA Games. He is a certified Wushu instructor accredited by De Wu Pugilistic Association and the SNWF.

Wushu is a self-defence sport from China. The theory of wushu is based on classical Chinese philosophy while the skills consist of various forms of fighting. Wushu helps one strengthen and build up one's physique. Participants will learn the basic footwork or ''zan ma bu'', the techiques of delivering blows and kicks in an unarmed attack and the use of spear, sword and staff.
