Wushumetrics was established in 2020 with the aim of infusing Wushu with psychology, science and technology. Through the team's motto of 'Developing the body, heart and mind through Wushu', Wushumetrics seek to promote the culture and tradition of Wushu using fun and innovative methods that tap on the latest advancements in sports and making these resources and teaching methodologies available to the masses. Led by a team of experienced coaches with experience working beyond the sports scene in the fields of psychology, counselling and education, the team provides professional wushu coaching at the community and competitive level to cater the sport to all. Through their classes, they aim to provide their students with a holistic sport experience to become physically and mentally strong while striving for excellence.

Wushu is a self-defence sport from China. The theory of wushu is based on classical Chinese philosophy while the skills consist of various forms of fighting. Wushu helps one strengthen and build up one's physique. Participants will learn the basic footwork or ''zan ma bu'', the techiques of delivering blows and kicks in an unarmed attack and the use of spear, sword and staff.
