Ho Lap Kong began his violin and piano lessons at the age of 6 and obtained ABRSM Diploma in year 1990. He joined the Hong Kong Symphony Orchestra in year 1991. He was a violin teacher in Suzuki violin in Suzuki Violin School in Tokyo, Japan fromr 1996 to 2000.

This course is taught individually, usually to children aged 6 -12. The syllabus follows those of established international music colleges, which have authorised local music schools to arrange examinations for participants. The examiners are from the following international music colleges: i) The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) ii) London College of Music (LCM) iii) Trinity College of Music (TCM) iv) Guildhall School of Music & Drama (GSMD)
