Course Description

Vinyasa is a yoga practice performed in a flow sequence, synchronising one's breath with the movement of the asanas (postures). The course will focus on pranayama (regulated breath techniques), asanas and shavasana (relaxation). It comprises a holistic regime to strengthen the physical body (develop stamina, tone the muscles and enhance flexibility), purify the vitals and improve concentration. It seeks to balance and harmonise the body, mind and emotion, which is highly beneficial for individuals (male/female) who lead a stressful lifestyle.

Requirements and Remarks:

Bring Your Own Yoga Mat. A gentle reminder to students/guardians to make the necessary payment BEFORE the class commences. Your help in ensuring timely payments is greatly appreciated. Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic form of yoga practice. The practice links yoga poses together in a flowing sequence. The transition between poses makes the practice more challenging but also more interesting. From time to time, the class will also introduce some arm balances poses into the practice. While the participants are expected to have a basic understanding of yoga poses (be familiar with sun salutation, chaturanga, warrior 1, 2 & 3), all that is required is to have a curious and open mind to learn, explore and have fun.
