Course Description
Be introduced to the Ukulele, a Hawaiian interpretation of a small guitar-like instrument originated in the 19th century. Learn how to strum chords, sing and play with the Ukulele. Students will also be taught how to read notes and eventually play solo pieces on the instrument. Tuning of the Ukulele may also be taught.
Requirements and Remarks:
For children age 7 to 12 years old For children age 7 to 12 years old Children attending the Children's Ukulele class are required to bring a 21-inch soprano ukulele. Those who do not have one may purchase it from the trainer. One-time materials fee (payable directly to the trainer): • 21" Soprano Ukulele – S$32.00 (S$34.88 with GST) • Ukulele Materials – S$12.00 (S$13.08 with GST) • Total: S$44.00 (S$47.96 with GST) Children who already own a 21-inch soprano ukulele only need to purchase the ukulele materials.
