Sim Hwee Huang holds a NCAP Level 1 Theory Certificate awarded by the SSC. She has a Certificate of Exemption for Taijiquan Instructor's Certificate from the Martial Arts Control Unit in 2003. She holds a Wushu Instructor's Certificate awarded by the Singapore National Wushu Federation. She completed the Chen and Sun Style Taijiquan Course Organised by the SSC. Hwee Huang was awarded the PA STARS Trainer Award (Special Award) for the Year 2015.

Taijiquan, a creation of China's ancient past, is a traditional martial art and health-promoting exercise. There are many different styles of Taijiquan but all of them share a fundamental philosophy  -  the unification of internal energy (qi), continuous movement, centering, rooting and relaxed alertness, Apart from health benefits, Taijiquan enhances spiritual cultivation and equips the learner with self-defence knowledge.
