Course Description
Taijiquan, a creation of China's ancient past, is a traditional martial art and health-promoting exercise. There are many different styles of Taijiquan but all of them share a fundamental philosophy - the unification of internal energy (qi), continuous movement, centering, rooting and relaxed alertness, Apart from health benefits, Taijiquan enhances spiritual cultivation and equips the learner with self-defence knowledge.
Requirements and Remarks:
Loose-fitting Tai Chi pants with elasticated cuffs at the ankles. Tai Chi shoes with flat soles, not standard running shoes. The course begins with Health-Enhancing Qi Cultivation Exercises, followed by Eight Methods and Five Steps. Students will then progress to Yang-style 24-Form Tai Chi, Yang-style 40-Form Competition Routine, and other routines, taught according to the learning progress. **Please note that there are no class on 10 August 2026.
