Course Description

Spoken Japanese (as opposed to written Japanese) will be used, and examples of sentences will be simple but practical. A word-for-word translation will also be given to enable the participants to better understand the sentence structures as well as the difference between English and Japanese. Each 12-session CONVERSATIONAL JAPANESE (Basic) course/module will be different in content, except for the first session, to allow current participants to stay on and new participants to join the class. In this way, participants who are keen but still not confident enough to go on to the next level will have the opportunity to continue learning the language. Participants who are good enough for the next level will be identified and encouraged to join the Intermediate class.

Requirements and Remarks:

Material Fee: $10 payable to trainer. This course is an intensive practical course incorporating ELEMENTARY JAPANESE (Stage 1), (Stage 2) and (Stage 3). The trainer adopts a trilingual Japanese/English/Mandarin comparative-study approach. Every sentence is explained in detail in terms of pronunciation, grammar and usage. Nothing is left unexplained. A word-for-word translation is given in English/Chinese to enable students to see for themselves the similiarities and differences between Japanese and English and between Japanese and Chinese. Highly recommended for those who are preparing to sit for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), N3, N4 and N5. Trainer: Chan Fook Lin Languages of instruction: English & Chinese
