Mohammad Hafizul Arham has been involved in Silat since 1996. He started as a beginner and rose up rapidly to be a trainer. During his time as an athlete, he had the chance to represent Singapore in 1999/2001 SEA Games editions as well as World Chamionships in 2000 and 2002.

Apart from that, he has been with his current club, Persaudaraan Setia Hati since 1996 and has vast experiences in handling artistic as well as match categories.

Silat is a traditional Malay martial art used for self-defence. Some forms of Silat employ native weapons, others lay emphasis on unarmed combat. The aspects of Silat emphasises self-defence, mental and spiritual discipline, the importance of traditions and its status as a sport. With a wide variety of defence and attacking techniques, practitioners may use hands, elbows, arms, legs, knees and feet in attack movements.
