Course Description
Silat is a traditional Malay martial art used for self-defence. Some forms of Silat employ native weapons, others lay emphasis on unarmed combat. The aspects of Silat emphasises self-defence, mental and spiritual discipline, the importance of traditions and its status as a sport. With a wide variety of defence and attacking techniques, practitioners may use hands, elbows, arms, legs, knees and feet in attack movements.
Requirements and Remarks:
Minimum age to participate: 6 years old Bring your own water bottle. Material fees (uniform & belt) depending on size and availability, of $35-$40 will be paid directly to instructor. Total class per term: 12 sessions
