Hui Chean is a classically trained vocalist who graduated from the Methodist School of Music where she attained both her Grade 8 Singing Certification and the Associate Diploma in Recital in Singing, accredited by Trinity College London (Trinity Guildhall).

Her talent has earned her multiple top prizes in national competitions across Singapore. In 1988, she won the Golden Voice Champion organized by Rediffusion in Singapore and represented Singapore at the prestigious Rediffusion Odyssey Competition which was held in Japan. In 1991, she participated in the Singing Talent Time that was organized by Singapore Broadcasting Television (SBC) which is now known as Mediacorp, where she came in as one of the Top Finalist.

Hui Chean has been teaching as a PA’s trainer since year 2008. As a trainer, she has guided her students to participate in multiple singing competitions as well.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of singing, breathing techniques and diaphragm training. They will also learn pronunciation and tempo in music. Reading of simple musical notes is also emphasised.
