Course Description

This course will enable students to develop their ability in solving mathematical problems and improve their competency in the English language. Apart from mathematical problem-solving methods, mathematical process skills such as the model and the heuristic approach will also be covered. For English, the areas covered will include vocabulary, phonemic awareness and grammar. This is followed by exercises in editing, sentence construction, comprehension cloze, graphic-stimulus comprehension, synthesis, composition and creative writing as well as reading comprehension skills. Students will also be taught how to master question-answer techniques through drill exercises and past-year exam papers.
