Yap Tay Soon graduated from NAFA with a Diploma in Western Art in 1977. He has been teaching Children at Boon Lay Art Centre since 1981. Tay Soon was awarded the PA STARS Trainer Award (Merit) for the Year 2015.

Oil painting is a popular medium due to their versatile, expressive and forgiving nature. the slow drying allows for blending, creating highly realistic paintings. Participants will be introduced to the materials used in oil painting. They will also be taught how to draw on canvas using this art medium.
