Course Description
Feeling pressure and stress after a day of work? There is a way to relax your mind. Learn the art of water colour painting and /or oil painting as a hobby. This course will cover the water colour painting and /or oil painting technique. No prior knowledge of water colour / oil painting is required.
Oil Painting: Participants will be introduced to the materials used in oil painting. They will also be taught how to draw on canvas using this art medium.
Water Colour Painting:
1. Participants will be introduced to the
materials used in water colour painting.
2. Techniques in still life painting.
3. Three important points in water colour painting:
a) The relationship between water and colours.
b) Time Management.
c) Colour management.
4. Two basic techniques in water colourpainting.
a) Dry Technique.
b) Wet Technique.
Requirements and Remarks:
1x Canvas 20" x 16" ( cloth medium is preferred ) 1x Box set of 12 or 16 oil paint ( to buy additional White, Orange and purple tube ) 2x Set of Brushes ( size No. 4, 8, 10 & 12 ) 1x Small bottle of Linseed Oil 1x Small bottle of Artist Turpentine ( less pungent than conventional turpentine ) 2x Containers to hold linseed oil and turpentine 1x Palette Knife 1x Artist Palette ( used for laying out oil paint for mixing and blending - Wood base is preferred ) Rags or disposable clothes Paper-base Masking Tape (2" width ) FOR NEW STUDENT PLEASE CONTACT TRAINER MR CHEW @ 9005 0891 BEFORE REGISTRATION OF CLASS.
