Course Description
Nonya or Peranakan cooking results from the blending of Chinese ingredients with Malay spices. The food is spicy and aromatic with an unique flavour with the generous usage of rempah which is a combination of pounded spices. Popular nonya specialties such as the sambal udang, popiah, kueh paiti, chap chye and assam fish are some of the many interesting dishes.
