Course Description
It was in the 1970's that true modern line dancing began in earnest. Line dancing blossomed across the United States and Canada in the 1980's. By the early 1990's it was spreading to virtually every English-speaking country. By the late 1990's it was spreading strongly in the non-English speaking world as well.
Any dance enthusiast should enjoy this course which covers::
(a) Country line dance - follow country music
(b) Latin line dance - follow Latin, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Samba, Pasodoble and Jive;
(c) American line - A combination of Country Line Dance, Latin Line Dance and
Social Dance steps of Disco Rock, Rock 'n' Roll, Mambo, Waltz and Tango.
Requirements and Remarks:
Open to existing students. New students please speak with the trainer before registering. Classes will commence with a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum intake of 16 participants. Students will be informed if classes are postponed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Refunds will only be processed in the event of class cancellation or if the rescheduled date does not suit the participant; refunds will be issued via GIRO only. Please note that there will be no class on the public holidays. For further enquiries, please contact the CC office at 6783 2900 between 10am and 6pm daily. The office is closed on public holidays.
