Course Description

This clinic focus on kayakers who interested into Kayak Sprinting Race, Long Distance Marathon Race and kayakers
interested to use efficient stroke for expedition. Land Drill on work on correct way of paddling strokes, muscle group used, type of self training without physically kayaking.

- Type of Blade a kayaker can choose
- The different phases of forward stroke

1. The Catch phase
2. The Power phase
3. The Release phase

Physical session will revisit on all the training apply on Land Drills, this enable kayaker to use min effort to travel longest
distance with least stroke.

Equipment:
- a closed deck kayak
- PFD
- Club training paddle ( will customize teaching when participants bring their personal paddle
(Wing Paddle, Greenland paddle, Euro paddle)
all physical training will be perform in the open sea environment. Training program as follow
- Morning land drill on land
- Lunch
- Apply what is learning on land drill into practical session. Using the skills to round Seleter island.
- Touch on the muscle group involves in kayaking
- How to strengthen those muscle without need to paddle
- Type of stretching to relax those muscles

Requirements and Remarks:

Kayaking 1 STAR certification is a prerequisite. If the onePA system does not detect your certification, we would like to kindly ask that you come to any of our PAssion WaVe outlets to produce the certificate (image is acceptable too) and verify it against another identification card. Please bring in your own lunch or packed food as the nearest eatery is 2km away from the outlet.
