Course Description
Karate is a traditional Japanese martial art and self-defence discipline that also serves as a popular competitive sport. Participants will learn fundamental techniques such as blocking, punching, striking, kicking, sparring, and proper body movements. Regular training develops strength, speed, coordination, balance, agility, focus, concentration, discipline, and self-confidence in a safe and structured environment.
Requirements and Remarks:
Minimum 6 students to start a class, and a maximum of 25 students. For students aged 7 years and above. Suitable for new and continuing learners. *New students to be assessed by the trainer before signing up.* Training covers basic techniques, kata (forms), and non-contact sparring drills. Attire: Karate Gi (uniform) and sparring gloves (around $100). Other equipment may be purchased progressively as students advance. Grading is held once every two terms; grading fees apply. Students should bring a water bottle for all sessions.
