Course Description
This is an introduction to coding, programming and computer science/ electronics through hands-on design and experimentation. In class, students will get to innovate, design and implement projects using Microbit's Microcontroller board and Microsoft's Makecode coding environment, through which students will learn and grasp key programming and computer science/ electronics concepts.
This course would help to inculcate interest in technology in children through a mixture of play, experiment and formal learning, allowing them to innovate and take advantage of opportunities in technology in the future.
Requirements and Remarks:
This is on-going Introduction to Programming and Computer Science Electronics for children between 5 to 12 years old. Suitable for beginners. No lesson on 9 August 2026 All participants are required to bring their own laptop. There is a one-time material fee of $30 (microbit board for new students) and $2 material fee every term (for existing students) payable to the trainer.
