Course Description
This is an introduction to coding, programming and computer science/ electronics through hands-on design and experimentation. In class, students will get to innovate, design and implement projects using Microbit's Microcontroller board and Microsoft's Makecode coding environment, through which students will learn and grasp key programming and computer science/ electronics concepts.
This course would help to inculcate interest in technology in children through a mixture of play, experiment and formal learning, allowing them to innovate and take advantage of opportunities in technology in the future.
Requirements and Remarks:
For children from 5 to 12 years old. Participants must bring their own laptop for the course. $2 payable to the trainer for Course Certificate at end of 6 sessions. Please note: 1. A 20% administrative fee applies for cancellations before the class commencement. 2. Course fees are strictly non-transferable to other individuals or classes. 3. No refunds will be given after class commencement unless there are unforeseen circumstances and subject to committee approval 4. Participants will be notified only in the event of class cancellation or postponement.
