Course Description
What is Minecraft?
Minecraft: Education is a game-based learning platform that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problemsolving
in an immersive digital environment. It provides endless opportunities for exploration, storytelling and
digital learning.
Learning Outcomes
✔Introduction to Minecraft: Education
✔Block coding in Microsoft MakeCode
✔Learn algorithms, sequencing, loops and conditionals
✔Build Minecraft world with NPC spawn
Students learn through hands-on Minecraft project with instructor support.
Requirements and Remarks:
For 7 years old to 12 years old. Participants are required to bring their own laptop, laptop charger and mouse for this class (i.e. must be fully charged). Installation of Minecraft software on laptop required before class commencement. No tablets. Due to licensing restrictions, the software account provided is for class use only. Please get ready for Wireless@SGx Free WiFi account created and connected to your laptop before the class begins. * Lesson cancelled by the teacher due to unforeseen circumstances will be replaced. * The lesson missed by the student on his or her own accord will not be replaced nor the fee refundable.
