Latha KANNAN is taking her Yoga knowledge and practice one notch higher by currently pursuing a PhD in Yoga & Philosophy with the leading Yoga University in the world, Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandha Samsthana, Bangalore, India. Her interest is in the effects of yoga practice on the brain. She hopes to publish her work on how meditation can replace medication. Latha, who is a trained media professional, now fuses her creative background with her yoga teachings. Latha adopts an engaging approach, sharing anecdotes as well as latest yoga research facts, inspiring her participants to adopt a more healthy and active lifestyle. She is currently being featured in a 50-episode series on local Tamil channel, Vasantham, where each week, she shares a specific yoga pose and its benefits. Latha Kannan has also been the face of International Yoga Day 21st June in Singapore since its inception in 2015.
