Course Description
Hapkido is a self-defence Korean Martial Art base on Circle and Water theory to defeat an opponent. Not to be confused with Japanese Aikido, Hapkido is different because it uses kicks and strikes directly followed by joint locks and pressure points, finishing with throw and pinning to the ground.
Hanmudo is a non-aggressive Korean Martial Art that uses the body's wave flowing movements to deflect the opponent's attacks. It is comprehensive art that includes several Korean Martial Arts into one system-Hapkido joint locks, kicks, strikes and throws, Taekwondo kicks for distant attacks, and korean philosophy for mental and physical discipline.
Hapkido and Hanmudo are taught in the same class. After learning Hapkido, students progress into Hanmudo.
Training area is matted. Students are required to wear white training uniform (Dobok). Grading is 3 monthly.
