Course Description

The objective of the elementary stages is to help the students build up an interest in the French language through communicative and experiential learning. A group based learning approach will be adopted. The students will be kept motivated to overcome the initial challenge of understanding a different language structure based on declination by genders and numbers. They will first be taught to identify and learn objects in French. They will then be taught basic greetings, self-introduction, introducing third persons (such as family members and friends), telling of age and counting numbers up to 25. They will have ample opportunities to make new friends, especially those from different cultural backgrounds.
Class activities include flash cards, team challenge, bingo, songs and video clips.
