Course Description
Edible plants can be found in Singapore's gardens, parks, and/or streets. In this 1-hour session, learn about 5-8 edible plants that grow wild or with minimal care, and hear about how these plants are used in food or other use. A walk in your neighbourhood will follow after the classroom learning to explore if there are common edibles near you. Learn some tips on how to look out for the edibles and sharpen your observational skills. These workshops are conducted in the mornings or late afternoon.
Requirements and Remarks:
IMPORTANT NOTES: • This session runs in two parts — indoors and outdoors, including a short guided walk in a surrounding park or green space. The route will be scouted by the trainer in advance. • Open to participants aged 8 and above. Young participants must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. • A minimum of 8 participants is required for the session to commence. • No material fee required. • A confirmation email will be sent 3 days before the class date.
