Tan Lay Guat has gained decades of teaching experiences throughout her career of teaching in the art industry. She has earned several outstanding awards and is well known for her creative teaching techniques. In 2005, she further developed
her skills in "SVA Specialization Course of Making Abstract Art and Advanced Contemporary Collage". 
Lay Guat has inspired countless students, enabling them to gain a great passion for art and crafts. With her approachable and
lively disposition, she is well liked by both parents and students.

The course gives children not only an early start in the learning of colours, shapes and lines but also the opportunity to socialise with their peers and get their creative juices flowing. Besides drawing and colouring, they may also explore other art mediums and will be encouraged to talk about their daily life experiences to help them generate more ideas for their drawings.
