Course Description
Capoeria is a Brazilian martial art developed in the 1500s by African slaves to fight oppression. Dance-like in its movements and played with music, it is believed to be developed this way to be disguised as a dance to slave owners. Today, Capoeria brings with it many benefits to its practitioners, regardless of age. Students of Capoeria not only become involved in music, dance, sports and self-defence, they also acquire a philosophy of life. Capoeria is suitable as both a recreational workout and for sportspeople who want to strengthen their backs to prevent injuries.
