Course Description
The basics of phonetics will be taught so that students will be able to use their dictionaries effectively. Proper phrasing, correct stresses and pecularities of Singapore English will also be covered. Highlights: -Overview of phonetics -long and short vowel sounds -diphthongs -consonants -cluster consonants -weak forms -commonly mispronounced words -use of phonetic dictionary -presentation techniques
