Course Description
Barre incorporates techniques from Pilates, Ballet and Yoga to provide a full body workout. Barre exercises focus on small, pulsing movements with emphasis on form, alignment and core engagement. They are usually done in high repetitions of small range of motion movement to provide isometric strength. It will improve flexibility and firm up muscle mass to develop long and lean lines of a dancer's body. The class will require props like weights, resistance bands and small pilates balls to bring the 'burn' to tone the muscles. Most importantly, it is super fun. A typical class will start with warm ups and followed by different routines for the arms, core, leg and glutes. There will be stretches throughout the practice to help building lean muscles.
Students are require to bring
1) Yoga Mat
2) Small Pilates ball
3) 2m Medium Resistance band
4) one set of 1kg weights
