Course Description

Level 2 Course The Australian Ballet of Conservatoire Syllabus is based on the Russian method developed by Christine Walsh OAM based in Melbourne. The syllabus’s mandate is to provide a platform for professional training for aspiring students. Developed in 1991, students who have benefitted from the syllabus have progressed onto pre-professional schools and professional companies all around the world. We will increase the classes to 1.5 hour class under the ACB syllabus will include 15-30 minutes of body conditioning exercises and 60 mins of pure classical ballet training and students need to begin coming twice a week. This is due to a higher expectation of the syllabus as the child grows older. The syllabus has a very high standards of good marks to be attained in an examination. Qualified students will be asked to go for an examination based on the ACB syllabus, recognised worldwide. A stronger foundation is key when developing the child’s classical ballet education in posture, memory work, discipline and character development.
