PAssion CARES For You is a joint community-corporate project that rallies the community to help support the less privileged with daily necessities and groceries. This project is funded by the PAssion CARES initiative, a ground-up “Pay-It-Forward” initiative driven by the People’s Association (PA) and supported by PA’s partners.

PAssion CARES For You was officially launched on 9 November 2019 with a grocery shopping experience for 125 underprivileged households. Each household was given $200 shopping credits to purchase groceries and daily necessities from Giant Hypermart at Tampines. The event garnered support from over 200 corporate volunteers to serve as shopping buddies to these beneficiaries.

 

During the COVID-19 circuit breaker period, deliveries of household essentials to some households had been affected due to delivery restrictions. Hence, the PAssion CARES pack distribution project was initiated. With the collective effort and support from our community partners like DFI Retail Group, Gojek Singapore and POSB, PAssion CARES packs containing grocery essentials such as rice, cooking oil, biscuits and instant 3-in-1 beverages were delivered directly to the households of 2,000 identified beneficiaries.
