Rules & Regulations

• Competition is for Bharatanatyam individual performance only.
• Participants should fill in the registration form clearly. The closing date for registration is  30 June 2026, strictly no exemption or allowance.
• Participants of each category must strictly adhere to the below-stated duration. If your performance exceeds the duration, Judges will not consider you for evaluation and it could attract negative scores. Organisers may stop the music.

1. Category A: 12 yrs. old & below :  4 minutes maximum
2. Category B: 13 – 17 yrs. old       :  6 minutes maximum
3. Category C: 18 – 25 yrs. old       :  8 minutes maximum

• First & Second prize winners of all the previous BHARATHAM competitions conducted by Toa Payoh West CC IAEC are not eligible to take part in this competition, regardless of any Category.
• Please bring your own thumb drive (normal audio, mp3 format) and submit at the CC registration counter before the competition begins. We request all participants to bring a backup thumb drive.
• Please note that the performance sequence for qualifying round will be based on registration order in general but the organising committee has the right to alter if necessary.
• Participants shall use their own Bharatanatyam Costume for both Qualifying round and Grand Finals.
• Judges’ decision is final. Any form of objection or complaint at the venue against Judges, Organising Committee, or the results, shall not be entertained and the organising committee has the right to disqualify such participant from the current and / or future competitions.
• Results of the Qualifying round will be communicated through SMS/WhatsApp to the participants at the end of the day or next working day.  Please ensure your particulars in the registration form are correct.
• Participation is limited based on registration; free admission to the audience subject to the availability of seats in the auditorium based on first-come, first-served basis.
• Certificates to all participants will be awarded on the day of Grand Final.
